Friends of a Farmington police officer injured on the job need your help.

Last week,  we told you about Jennifer Doyle Parkinson, an officer in Farmington who got back on her feet after being brutally attacked  while responding to a domestic call last April.

Her husband lost his job taking time off  work to deal with severe pancreatic problems. Parkinson’s friends are hosting a benefit and are in need of volunteers for donated items, baskets for a raffle and silent auction.

The event will be held on March 18th from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

If you’re interested in helping, contact Co-Presidents, Cindy Smith at Blueausi1101@yahoo.com or call (309) 361-5855 or Keri Graham at kerikeepincool@hotmail.com or call (309) 712-4264.

A local bank account is set up for people donating outside the area at Bank of Yates City P.O. Box 408 Farmington, Illinois 61531.
