A week after being announced as the new City Manager, Tim Gleason was officially appointed tonight at the council meeting.
The council also voted to approve his employment contract and did so in unanimous fashion.
Gleason says he is excited and eager to work for the city of Bloomington backing the statement he made while he was running that Bloomington was the place he wanted to stay and end his career in.
In a speech he made after receiving the appointment he said he knew Steve Rasmussen is liked by a lot of the staff and citizens and because of that he plans to keep him on his staff moving forward.
The resolution approved a four-year employment contract for Gleason. He is expected to begin working as manager on July 23, 2018.
