GOP candidate for attorney general Erika Harold says there’s no place in her party for the kind of language she faced from a fellow Republican while on the campaign trail.

Burt Minor, the Winfield Township GOP Chair, has been accused of repeatedly using the n-word and a slur for lesbians when speaking with Harold.

Several high-profile Republicans, including Gov. Rauner, have called for Minor to withdraw from his race for the state House to replace Jeanne Ives.

Harold also weighed in on potential issues facing the state’s next attorney general and how she would handle potential conflicts between her personal views and state law.

Harold was endorsed Friday by the Chicago Tribune.
