The Peoria Iron Sights are setting their sights on the Central Illinois Shoots and Ladders.
The hockey game happened to be the first home game for the Iron Sights

They fought hard against the Shoots and Ladders - playing at the Peoria Civic Center.
The Iron Sights - composed of veterans - the Shoots and Ladders is a group of first responders.
The Iron Sights laced up their skates for the first time as a team back in late February.

"We actually played a Chicago team who trains with the Blackhawks. They have Blackhawks skaters that come out and train with them. We put up a good fight, we did lose that, however we did put up a good fight, and we're getting everything all together, and I think we're gonna have a pretty solid game today," said team owner, Scott Miller.

The hockey game also served as a benefit for a local mother who lost her two year old son, Cazmirr, after a drowning.
