McLean County – Some people around Lake Bloomington are seeing red after the city mailed notices about improper boat docks.
According to the city, there are roughly 16 docks that are not in compliance with code and procedures.
Problems include improper permits and environmental concerns.
Lake Bloomington is the main water source for the city and managers want a consistent approach for all lease holders.
Bloomington Water Dierector Bob Yehl told us his department would… “Review the information we have in their files and evaluate what structures have been put in legally and what structures we need to work further with individuals to make sure we again maintain water quality, consistency, and access for everybody.”
An informational meeting is scheduled at 6pm Wednesday.
