STREATOR, Ill.– Illinois American Water’s Streator District has lifted the boil water order issued to the communities of Streator, Ancona, Dana, Kangley, Longpoint, Ransom and Reading.
However, water conservation measures have not been lifted and customers are asked to continue to conserve water as the system returns to normal operation.
Saturday, IAW announced customers will experience a temporary interruption in water service due to an emergency repair on the water treatment plant.
When water service was restored, a boil water order took effect. IAW said water was OK for bathing, washing and other common uses.
It will continue to have bottled water available to customers today at the Streator Fire Department until 4 p.m.
