PEORIA, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health says they’re adding maternal and child health data to its public health community map.
The map is used to provide data to healthcare givers and administrators.
Peoria City and County Health Department administrator Monica Hendrickson says Peoria’s data will be included on the state map.
She says it will help other counties see patterns and help make improvements.
“By taking that and giving other counties the ability to have that data available readily for them can help them make better decisions in terms of where their limited resources can go,” said Hendrickson.
Officials also says they’re updating categories like asthma, heart failure, and pneumonia on the map.
