An Illinois state senator proposed a bill on Thursday that would create an admission fee for Starved Rock State Park.
State Sen. Sue Rezin (R-Peru) introduced Senate Bill 1310, which said the Department of Natural Resources would be allowed to implement an annual vehicle admission fee and daily acces fees to the iconic state park beginning Jan. 1, 2020.
Vistitors could buy a sticker for their vehicle annually, or pay to visit the park.
