MCLEAN COUNTY, Ill. — A traffic stop made by an Illinois State Trooper this week led to the arrest of one suspect and the seizure of 143 pounds of cannabis, 14 pounds of mushrooms and 9 pounds of cannabis wax.

The trooper, from District 6, stopped a passenger just south of Bloomington after observing a traffic violation. An ISP K-9 inevitably alerted to the odor of illegal drugs within the vehicle.

Amber Widner, 36 of Montana, was arrested for controlled substance trafficking and cannabis trafficking. Widner was incarcerated at the McLean County Jail and has been formally charged by the McLean County State’s Attorney.  A McLean County Judge set her bond at $75,000.
