Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth announce funding, from the Department of Health and Human Services, for local community health centers.

Heartland Community Health Clinic, in Peoria, will receive over $1.2 Million.

Chestnut Health Systems, in Bloomington, will get over $1.8 Million.

Senator Duckworth believes its necessary for community health clinics in the state to receive funding.

“Children, families, and seniors across Illinois rely on community health clinics for essential healthcare services,” says Duckworth, “This funding will enable these clinics to continue providing quality, affordable care to thousands of Illinois families, which is crucial to the overall strength of our state.”

Senator Durbin couldn’t agree more.

“This investment will help these centers continue to improve health outcomes and reduce patient costs for Illinoisans.”
