EAST PEORIA, Ill. – Layoffs have been announced to employees at the Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino in East Peoria. Boyd Gaming spokesman David Strow says a little less than three-percent of the workforce is being let go due to a decline in revenue.
Strow says some of the employees have been offered other positions within the company. The final number of those without a job is expected to be between 15-20 people depending on who accepts alterative positions in the company. Strow says the layoffs are from throughout the organization and include both hourly and salary workers.
Strow declined to say the exact cause of the revenue declines, but said the company had to bring expenses more in line with revenue.
