As we all know, the world can be a dangerous place.
That’s why Kuk Sool Won of Pekin held a women’s self defense class Saturday.
Dozens of women showed up eager to learn the best way to defend themselves in real-world situations.
Learning techniques to hurt an attacker without hurting themselves in the process.
“Typically, you know, the predator isn’t going to attack someone that’s bigger than them, so we’re going to teach them how to use the weapons that they have,” says Michael Yates, Head instructor. “Whether it be hitting, striking and kicking, but also weapons that they might have on them.”
Yates says having the ability to defend yourself is a skill everybody should have because you never know when you may need that skill to save your life.
