The Bloomington City council voted to amend one of its city codes tonight. The code states, any business or store that sells alcohol must be 100 ft or more from a church, school or hospital.
The vote was going to virtually remove the restrictions and allow any alcohol selling business the right to be within the stated radius.
After a 5-4 vote the council decided to keep the distance as is. Any business that sells alcohol must be at least 100 ft from any school, church or hospital.
