Woodford County confirms second case

CHICAGO, Ill. (WMBD) — A second COVID-19 case in Woodford County and the first case in LaSalle County confirmed by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

COVID-19 positive cases grew to a total of 422 cases in 22 Illinois counties, with four people dead.

Thursday, IDPH said an additional 134 cases were confirmed. Health officials are anticipating an increase in positive cases and deaths during the pandemic.

The individuals who have succumbed to the virus include a 50-year-old male of Will County, an 80-year-old female from Cook County, and a 70-year-old female of Sangamon County.
