BLOOMINGTON - Local arenas must stay prepared in case an event like what happened in Las Vegas, happens at their stadium.
Jason Aldean was on stage when the shooting happened. He performed at the Grossinger Motors Arena back in 2016 with no problems. But the arena’s executive director said they are prepared for multiple situations in the event they arise.
“We do annual training for all of our staff, and anybody who is hired throughout the season also is trained before they go to work,” said Lynn Cannon, Grossinger Motors Arena Executive Director. “So we make sure that they are fully versed in all of our evacuation procedures, in the event of severe weather, in the event of any kind of emergency."
Cannon said arena managers are continuously looking for new ways to prevent a tragedy like this from happening in Bloomington, or anywhere else.
