BLOOMINGTON - A Twin Cities cemetery is looking for answers after a vandalism strike.
Some old tombstones were spray painted at the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday night, and again Wednesday night. They were hit with letters, numbers and symbols in black spray paint. Some beer and vodka bottles were found near the tombstones.
"It's very disheartening to see, to even understand why someone would do this. We've had family members of other people buried here; reach out to us just making sure it wasn't theirs. It hurts, it hurts everyone, not just us here at the cemetery, but everyone," said Tina Crow, Evergreen Cemetery Manager.
The cemetery asks that anyone with information, call the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery at (309)-827-6950.
