There was extra security on hand at Canton High School Tuesday in response to a threat.
According to a letter from principal Michael Lindy Monday evening, there was a threatening message written on a bathroom wall. The Canton Police Department is working to determine the source of the message.
“Additional security measures will be in place on campus, for the foreseeable future, as a precaution to ensure the safety of our students and staff,” wrote Lindy. “As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.”
Lindy is also reminding parents to talk to their kids about safety procedures. “Students should report to an adult any incident that makes them feel uncomfortable or unsafe.”
