Tuesday, local organizations hosted the 6th annual Peoria County Teen Summit at Methodist College.
200 8th graders from Peoria County participated in breakout sessions presented by partners within the community.
The topics included leadership, healthy relationships, drug and alcohol abuse and suicide prevention, among others.
Teen Summit hosts said they want what students learn today to mold them into better leaders and help them make better decisions in the future.
There was representation at the summit from 23 schools all across Peoria County.
