While people are gearing up for Easter services this weekend, some chose to treat their fur babies to an Easter egg hunt of their own.
Camp Wakonda held their 4th annual doggie eater egg hunt Saturday afternoon.
More than 100 pups and their owners participated in the event.
The pet parents and their furry friends got to take pictures with Easter bunny, take part in a costume contest, and most importantly hunt for eggs.
“We’ve got hard boiled eggs, paper mache eggs stuffed with treats, we have toys, we’ve got dog biscuits galore,” says Cathy Lane. “There are so many dog biscuits. So, everybody goes home with quite a lot of loot.”
All of the proceeds go to a local shelter with this year’s proceeds going to S.A.M.S. out of Hannah City.
