Local radio hosts raising money for 36 straight hours at the Corn Crib

Local News

NORMAL, Ill. — Twin Cities radio hosts are raising money for our U.S. soldiers.

The event started three years ago in Peoria. Three years later, Joe Greenwood and Dr. Chris Michaels from 107.7 and 92.1 The Bull sat outside for 36 straight hours, collecting donations for soldiers and veterans.

A donation of $5 dollars puts a flag on a chair at the Corn Crib stadium in Normal this year. Thursday morning, they had over 700 flags placed and counting.

Any contributions made go to benefit soldiers in need. The “Saved Seats” are marked with an American Flag designating that seat saved for a member of our military.

All of the donations go to Hope for the Warriors. You can learn more about the organization here.
