One school district is making sure kids don’t go hungry this summer.

District 87 is passing out free lunches at a number of locations around the Twin Cities. One of the locations is the Bloomington Public Library. They’re hosting lunch during the week from 11:30-12:30, through August 10.

“We like to meet the needs, anyway we can, of the people that come to the library,” said Melissa Robinson with the Bloomington Public Library. “If kids need a lunch and we can help out here at the library, that’s something we want to do, and it’s always a great feeling when people get what they need.”

All kids 18 and under qualify for a free lunch. Anyone older can pay $3 for a lunch.
