NORMAL, Ill. - A local college student from the Twin Cities is traveling to NASA's Stennis Space Center this summer to participate in the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) onsite experience.
Heartland Community College student Melody Dashora is named among the 280 community college students set to travel to the Hancock County, Mississippi rocket testing and research facility.
Students will have the opportunity to interact with NASA engineers and others as they learn more about careers in science and engineering.
Melody is looking to transfer into a program to study Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence once she finishes her studies at Heartland.
