PEORIA - The man involved in the Sept. 2 Peoria shooting has been arrested.
On Monday, the Peoria Police Target Offender Unit arrested 22-year-old Jamal J. Younger for first-degree murder.
On Sept. 2 at approximately 2:48 a.m., police responded to an alert of multiple rounds fired in the 2300 block of North Peoria. Officers were then notified that a male victim of the shooting was dropped off at a local hospital via private vehicle.
The 21-year-old victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
During the course of the investigation, detectives gathered information that led to the identification of Younger at approximately 3:15 p.m. Monday.
After being arrested, Younger was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
