Richard Henderson opted for a bench trial regarding his fate in the stabbing homicide of 16-year-old Diamond Bradley.

Because Henderson waived his right to a jury trial during a status hearing Thursday, a judge will decide whether he is guilty or not in the trial, which is set to begin Dec. 17.

Henderson was charged with three counts of first-degree murder, as well as concealing her homicidal death.

Court documents stated he stabbed Bradley with a knife multiple times and also disposed her body in a ditch along a road in Granville Township in Putnam County.

Officers believe Bradley met Henderson online before they decided to meet in person on or about Jan. 24, 2018. During a search of Henderson’s workplace back in April, deputies found the knife they believe was used to kill Bradley.
