UPDATE: Suspect of Peoria County bar shooting identified

PEORIA COUNTY - A man is expected to be okay after he was shot inside Crusens on Farmington Road early Thanksgiving morning. 

Peoria County Sheriff's deputies were called to the bar around 4:25 A.M. The victim is an employee at the bar, but investigators don't believe the shooting was related to a robbery. He was taken to a local hospital but is expected to be okay.


The suspect, 24 year old Brock Ardis, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. at the Vermillion County Jail, where he was detained in relation to the West Peoria shooting. Ardis is a worker at Crusens.

He faces charges on Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, and 5 counts of Aggravated Assault.

Ardis will be initially scheduled for bonding court at 2:30 p.m. on November 24, where he will be held without bond.

No other arrests are expected as a result of this incident.
