BLOOMINGTON-NORMAL - UPDATE: The Normal Police Department are investigating gun shots reported on Vernon Avenue Tuesday.
Police searched around 304 East Vernon, where a house was hit multiple times. Upon investigation, they found the shots originated from the 600 block of South Linden Street. No arrests have been made in connection to these shots.
Police say a man was later treated for gun shot wounds at OSF Medical Center in Bloomington. After police interviews, it was found he was walking in the area when he was hit in the neck by a stray bullet. He has since been released with a non-life-threatening wound. The investigation is still ongoing.
