Mangold Ford in Eureka deals with major loss following a robbery

Local News

Robbers took a dump truck and twelve tires off of brand new trucks at Mangold Ford in Eureka between 1 AM and 5 AM this morning.

General Manager, Jeff Wiegand, says he was shocked when he got to work.

“Not the start of the day that we hoped,” says Wiegand, “We try to do a great job taking care of customers and just being of service to the community and something like this is just frustrating and demoralizing.”

Wiegand says the dealership does not have surveillance cameras at the moment.

For now, they rely on the Eureka Police Department.

“Unfortunately they did have some incidents yesterday or early this morning that took the officer on duty away, that’s why that time period no one came through,” says Wiegand.

Wiegand is asking for the communities help in finding the suspects.

The dealership is posting a picture on their Facebook page of the stolen truck in hopes someone will report it.

Weigand says that insurance will cover the twelve stolen tires. He plans to to see if the truck will be recovered before they turn in a claim on that as well.
