Water Street in Downtown Peoria is going to turn into Bourbon Street at the 3rd annual Mardi Gras in May Street Festival this Saturday.
There will be street performers, artists, live music, amazing food and drinks and more. Not to mention the event itself is free.
“Our goal is to make this as authentic as possible, while keeping it enjoyable for the entire family,” says organizer Kaci Geier. “Mardi Gras is such an amazing festival and it has been a blast to bring this atmosphere to the Peoria Area.”
This year’s event will have live music on three separate stages. Local restaurants and food trucks will offer authentic Cajun food and drinks. Street performers, tarot card readers, caricature artists and storytellers will delight you with their talents. Artists will be selling their wares, as well as offering lessons throughout the Festival.
