County government plays a crucial role in everyday lives, but much of its work is done behind the scenes.
Tuesday morning, the McLean County Chamber of Commerce hosted an event to focus on the state of the county’s government. It was an attempt to highlight the imperative work being done by the legislative body.
“Our goal this morning is to talk about what we are working on but really to look towards the future as well so we are excited about that as well as some specific projects that the are working on just to give our members an update on what they might be seeing in the news,” Mgr. of government & public affairs for McLean County Chamber of Commerce John Walsh said. “But this is actually how we are working on that here.”
This event was the first of this year’s four-part advocacy series: State of McLean County, State of Bloomington-Normal, State of the State and State of Congress.
