McLean County’s early voting turn out is low, a few days before election

Local News

People in McLean County have a few more days to vote early before Tuesday.

McLean County officials say early voting has been low this election race. County Clerk Kathy Michael said this is not uncommon for local elections in the Twin Cities.

Michael stressed the importance to get informed about candidates and getting to the polls, especially because those who are elected affect us directly and determine where our tax dollars go.

We can’t tell people to get excited about it. That has to be up to them but for me personally having lived here most of my life in the county, and I know how hard and dedicated these people are to even run for office, how much it means to them. They are not getting paid a lot of money, said Michael.
