Medical call leads Bartonville police to arrest 27-year-old with child porn charges

Local News

BARTONVILLE, Ill.– The Bartonville Police Department arrested a 27-year-old man on child porn charges Wednesday.

A medical call sent police to John Niemeyer’s home. After they administered care, Niemeyer told police he’d been watching child porn and an alleged “FBI warning” triggered to him to panic.

Officers did a forensic scan of the phone confirming there was child pornography on it, and then arrested him.

A court date has not yet been set.
