Metro by T-Mobile robbed Saturday afternoon

PEORIA, Ill.– Peoria Police said four armed men who allegedly robbed the Metro PCS by T-Mobile phone store on 3125 N. University Street are still on the loose.

An employee of the store said four African American men came into the store around noon Saturday and one pulled out a gun.

She said the men took 12 cellphones, most were androids, but they didn’t take any money.

Officers said the suspects then fled in a vehicle westbound on Forest Hill.

The store was briefly closed shorty after while police came and reviewed surveillance footage, but reopened after a few hours.

Police said the investigation is still ongoing.
