Moving company ‘stuffs a truck’ for hurricane relief

PEORIA, Ill. — Two Men and a Truck is asking the community to send over donations for victims of Hurricane Dorian.

The moving company said anything from food, to clothing, to cleaning supplies will be helpful. There are currently white drop off boxes throughout the city of Peoria and you can also donate at the company’s location on West Townline Road.

The company’s marketing coordinator, Angela Miller, said this is a great way for community members to give back.

“We would like them to know that we want them to be involved and that it’s important to always help fellow mankind when they’re going through a hard time,” Miller said. “So we just want to partner with them and use the resources we have and then be able to use the resources they have in order to make a difference.”

Miller also said the goal is to fill three delivery trucks with donations by Sept. 11. The truck will then take the donations to the affected areas.

She also added she’s happy to be involving the city of Peoria on this project and stresses that it doesn’t take a lot to give a little back.

“It doesn’t have to be anything major, but every little bit seems to help,” Miller said. “We’re just excited about the community partnering with us to help everybody get the supplies donated and delivered to the people who need it the best.”
