Chevy Uftring in Washington now has a permanent home once again. After being forced to move due to a fire on Jan. 5, the new building has officially opened.
Located in it’s original location at 1860 Washington Road, the dealership is equipped with a state of the art vehicle showroom and body-shop.
“Everybody has new tools, the building is completely new, all the equipment is new,” said owner Gary Uftring.
He adds, “It’s all the latest technology, the state of the art, this is going to be a great Christmas for everyone.”
For Uftring, moving the dealership outside of Washington was never an option. He hopes the new building is something the entire city can be proud of and represents a feeling that there is always reason to fight for tomorrow.
“This community has been so good to us, the outpouring support that we’ve received from the city has been loyal,” Uftring explained.
The church that was renting the temporary space to Chevy Uftring hopes to renovate the building early into the new year.
