In the Twin Cities, the family of Nicole Elbert is holding a vigil in her honor.

Elbert was the victim of domestic violence last week, which led to her death. Elbert’s family wants to remember her and bring awareness to domestic violence.

People are asked to wear Elberts favorite color, purple. The plan is to have a prayer, light candles, and hold a moment of silence. The vigil will be held Thursday night at 7, near Franklin Park in Bloomington.

If anyone is a victim, or knows someone who is a victim, the Neville House has a 24-hour hotline. The number is (309)-827-7070.
