People have donated prom dresses, shoes and alteration services to Normal West High School’s Promise Council. Most of the dresses have only been worn once. The high school’s counselor said some students would not have considered going to prom without this option.
“I think prom is such an important time for students to just let go and have some fun, and just have a good time and not worry about some of the things that would stop them from having a good time,” said Brooke Bollmann, Normal West High School counselor.
The dresses are available to any high schooler in the area. This year for the first time, The Promise Council is offering free tuxedo rentals from Seno.
Anyone interested in making a donation can drop off the items at Normal West’s office.
