OSF finds architect for new Downtown HQ

PEORIA, Ill. - OSF HealthCare has found its architect for the new Peoria Ministry Headquarters in Downtown Peoria.

OSF announced it's signed a letter of intent with Dewberry, an engineering consultant.

In January OSF announced it was buying the property at 124 Southwest Adams Street from Caterpillar and will rehabilitate the century-old building into OSF HealthCare's new Ministry HQ.

In addition to giving OSF the building, Caterpillar also donated the Peoria Professional Building, the adjacent parking lot and $3 million to OSF for further development of amenities on the block.

Construction is contingent on the building being listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Dewberry will be working with multiple specialty firms throughout Illinois to accomplish all that needs to be done in order to move the project forward.

"We are excited to take this next step with out new headquarters project," says CEO of OSF HealthCare Bob Sehring. "It is our goal to return this building to its previous grandeur and we are confident we have chosen a partner in Dewberry to help us accomplish that."

The project is expected to take at least two years to be completed.
