Strong storms overnight have Ameren Illinois crews dealing with significant power outages in several counties.
As of 3:45 Tuesday morning and according to Ameren Illinois’ outage map, more than 3,000 customers were in the dark in Stark County.
More than 2,200 in Peoria County.
More than 2,700 in LaSalle County and a little less than 2,000 in Bureau County.
As of 5:45 a.m. Tuesday morning:
We spoke with an Ameren spokesperson who says about 4,700 people are without power in Division One, which covers Galesburg, Kewanee, Peoria, Ottawa and LaSalle.
Ameren crews also found heavy damage in Chillicothe, Dunlap and in the Princeville area. There are still about 700 customers without power in those areas.
Ameren has deployed a storm tr ailer to Chillicothe to deal with the damage. There is currently no service restoration time for Division One.
As of 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning:
Just over 1,500 people are still without power in Division One.
That area includes Galesburg, Kewanee, Peoria, Ottawa and LaSalle.
