Friday Pearl Companies announced the passing of founder John (Jack) Pearl.
According to the release Jack passed away surrounded by family Thursday, January 11th at 91 years old.
"Jack has left an incredible mark on the Peoria-area," Executive VP Shannon Warner writes, "From his humble beginnings, Jack was always a self-starter, running several of his own businesses throughout his college years at Bradley University."
“He was never one to sit on the sidelines,” Jack’s son and current CEO of Pearl Companies, Gary Pearl, said. “He was the kind of guy who was constantly getting his hands dirty and making things happen.”
Jack founded Pearl Insurance in 1954 and in the past 65 years it has grown to include several firms and businesses employing more than 800 people.
“Jack was a true entrepreneur,” Dennis Dietrich, President and Chief Operating Office of Pearl Companies, stated. “His business insight helped grow Pearl Companies into what it is today. He truly cared about each of his employees and their families, as well as all of our customers and business partners.”
A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 16 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, January 17 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church.
