PEKIN - Pekin Police aren't giving many details about an incident of alleged officer misconduct.
The department sent out information Friday, saying in October of last year, one of its officers was placed on paid administrative leave.
It came after a report of misconduct involving a female.
The chief of police asked the Illinois State Police to lead the investigation.
The department says ISP’s investigation didn't find enough evidence to arrest the officer.
Pekin Police then investigated, internally.
Before that was over, the officer at the center of the alleged wrongdoing, retired.
The department says it’s not releasing any more information saying it's a personnel issue.
