Peoria City Council at-large results: Two new faces, three incumbents make the cut

The final votes for Peoria City Council at-large seats are in.

Candidate Rita Ali led the pack with 24.88 percent of the vote, John Kelly following with 12.06 percent, Zach Oyler with 11.85 percent, Beth Jensen with 11.43 percent and Sid Ruckriegel with 11.26 percent.

In total, two newcomers, Ali and Kelly, were elected along with three incumbents: Oyler, Jensen and Ruckriegel. 

Incumbent Beth Akeson lost her seat in Tuesday’s election, receiving 4.8 percent of the votes.

Andre Allen, Peter Kobak, Branden Martin and Aaron Chess Jr. also ran for seats on the council.
