Peoria Fire Department warning residents after 4 arsons in 4 day stretch

PEORIA, Ill. - The Peoria Fire Department is warning area residents to keep an eye out for suspicious activity after 4 arsons over a 4 day period.

On April 14th crews responded to a vehicle fire in the 2700 block of S.W. Adams. On April 15th crews responded to a vehicle fire in the 1300 block of N.E. Adams and in the 500 block of Van Buren. On April 17th crews fought a fire at a home in the 1300 block of N. Sheridan.

It was determined that all of the fires were intentionally set. All of them occurred in the middle of the night and a large amount of accelerant was detected.

The Peoria Fire Department is asking residents to take note of any strange or suspicious activity in their neighborhood and report it to 911.
