Tuesday night Peoria leaders approved an agreement offering tax incentives to certain developers in the city.
The agreement expands the current Peoria Urban Enterprise Zone to the Villa Bourdeaux Apartments.
Right now the apartment complex is slated for a $5 million dollar renovation.
Leaders say expanding the urban enterprise zone will offer tax incentives to those redeveloping the property.
The Galena Road Industrial Park (6423 N. Galena Rd), Former IDOT site (6305 N. Knoxville Ave), Big Shots (10000 N. Orange Prarie Rd), and Hunt’s Drive-in (2027 W. Farmington Rd) are also included in the zone now.
