PEORIA, Ill. -- The Heart of Illinois United Way partnered with Peoria Magazine for its annual Community Impact issue.
This year they're calling it "A Guide to Peoria-area Non Profits and Philanthropic Opportunities."
It focuses on how local nonprofits make a change in the community. Most importantly, community advocates believe this brings all causes to one place.
"Using Peoria Magazine to promote well being in this manner, to assemble all of us as non for profits. But really more importantly it really is assembling all of us to build the community in a more meaningful way," said Jeff Gress, Crittenton Center president.
Close to 100 people were at the launch event which took place at Advanced Medical Transport.
