PEORIA, Ill. - The victim in a Saturday morning homicide in Peoria was shot five times.
That is according to Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood. He identified the deceased as Kedron Murphy, 32, of North Douglas Street. Murphy was found in the backyard of a home on Marquette near Westmoreland shortly after 5am Saturday.
An autopsy sows Murphy was shot five times an suffered major internal bleeding. Harwood says he likely died instantly. He was pronounced dead just after 6:30am. The type of weapon used to shoot Murphy is not being released.
Peoria Police say they have no suspect at this time.
