PEORIA, Ill. - A Peoria mattress store is giving back after being awarded a $20,000 dollar check.
Mattress For Less won a contest with Synchrony Financial. As part of the contest the store had to donate half of the check to a charitable cause.
The business chose to donate to the Peoria Jobs Partnerships Program which helps prisoners transition into the workforce.
“The people have gone through correctional facilities and they’ve had their life turned around through the program and they’re ready for the job market and they’re getting jobs,” said owner Ryan Foster.
Several other mattress stores across the country were also granted this award by Synchrony as well.
