The Peoria Public Schools Foundation hosted a unique event to help fundraise money for students’ athletics teams.
The event, organized by Dan Adler, Vice President of Peoria Public Schools Board of Education, was a Peoria Playhouse Open Mini Golf Pub Crawl.
Teams of four navigated throughout the Warehouse District to play nine golf holes, which were located at different places including bars, restaurants and the Peoria Riverfront Museum.
The first stop was Kelleher’s Irish Pub where Adler explained the importance of the community’s support at the event.
“I think teams are important. It’s a great way to have teams of students learn all things that they can that happen as a part of sports. Our middle school athletics could use some more money for equipment and uniforms and that’s what we’re raising money for,” said Adler.
Participants thought a Mini Golf Pub Crawl was a fun social opportunity and a great way to raise money for a good cause.
