PEORIA, Ill - Dozens of families came out to celebrate the new Wraparound Center at Trewyn Middle School Saturday.
This was a kick off event to show off the site of the new Wraparound Center.
There was food, bouncy houses, games and even free haircuts from some of Peoria school's students. Derrick booth is the director of social and emotional learning. He says, "One of the things we wanna do here within the Wraparound Center is when individuals don't know where to go for support services or even basic need resources, we want them to know that they can come to the Wraparound Center and we'll connect them to the resources and services that they need."
A number of those resource centers were at the event to provide support.
