Peoria Public Schools is dealing with its shortage of teachers.
The district will hold a hiring fair at Woodruff Career and Technical Center from 2PM-6PM on Wednesday.
All teachers are needed but especially in Special Education, Arts, Math, Science and Foreign Language. There are about 50 open positions.
The district plans to interview and offer jobs on the spot.
“We hope to fill all those positions because what we went through this year is unacceptable. Every time a classroom or students go without teachers they’re behind tremendously.” Peoria Public Schools Associate Superintendent of Human Resources, Alexander Ikejiaku, said.
Attendees should bring copies of their resume and transcripts.
