People in the River city are getting free legal advice, thanks to the Prairie Street Legal Services.

This morning volunteers attorneys and paralegals were on hand to help with a variety of civil issues, like immigration or debt. The idea is provide services for low income people.

The Public Interest Law Initiative says  Legal assistance can help people rise out of poverty and lead more healthy and active lives in the community.
